-
Why should I buy from you, and not from a more established brand? We view making your guitar as a unique artistic process. While we appreciate the history of many of the larger brands, we know that their concern is volume, not quality. To those brands you are one of a million, but to us you’re one in a million.
-
Do you have any formal training?Yes, Evan has participated in a few training programs, and has other contacts in the industry he reaches out to for advice.
-
Do you have any premade guitars I can look at?Yes! From time to time we offer Pre-made guitars, and are currently selling those on Sweetwater. Please also check out the Portfolio on this site to see examples of custom guitars created in the past.
-
Are there any projects you won’t work on?Yes, we reserve the right to turn down any projects at our sole discretion. (And we prefer you work with someone who is excited about your project.) We are happy to discuss your ideas with you.
-
Do you cater to any specific music styles? While Evan is happy to build for any genre, his main expertise is within the Blues, Punk and Alt Rock communities, with some country mixed in.
-
Do you make acoustics? While we may make acoustics in the future, we are currently focused on electric guitars and basses.
-
Are your guitars handmade/hand-carved?We sometimes hand-carve necks, but we also use our CNC machine for things that require accurate measurements, such as truss rod slots, or tuner holes. (CNC machines provide accuracy and consistency in the guitar build.) Guitar bodies are usually cut using the CNC.
-
I have a special requestWe are happy to discuss any special requests with you, and how the logistics of your project would work.
-
Can I get any pickups I want?Yup. (As long as they’re still on the market, and we can purchase them.)
-
I’m looking for a particular sound, will you work with me to figure that out?Absolutely! Evan has driven people around him crazy by spending hours researching and listening to various pickups. He is also happy to discuss how things like scale length can affect sound.
-
Is there any wood you won’t work with?Currently the only wood Evan will not work with is Bubinga.
-
What type of paint do you use? This depends on the project. We typically use Nitrocellulose lacquer, but also have used other types of paint when doing a more complex pattern. We are happy to work with you and advise on what may work best for your request.
-
How do I make a payment?Once we have discussed the project you would like to work on, and Evan has agreed to work on it, we will provide you with a payment link on our site. This the ONLY place we will request payment. A NON REFUNDABLE deposit for materials is due up front before work begins. However, we will provide you with the full price up front, which is to be paid in full at the end of the process. (Please also see our policies section on refunds.)
-
Why is my deposit non-refundable?We use your deposit to purchase the materials to make your instrument. Once we have received those materials and have started working on your project, we cannot return them. It also ensures that you are serious about working with us. We will not under any circumstance ship those materials to you.
-
Do you offer any discounts?Currently we do not offer discounts, and our prices are non-negotiable.
